Paneer Tawa Masala Recipe

Paneer tawa masala is simmered in a rich gravy and flavoured with spices.

Serves: 4
Preparation time 12-15 minutes
Cooking time: 6-8 minutes


Paneer : 750 gm
Ghee : 120 gm
Makhani Gravy : 300 ml
Onions : 200 gm
Ginger : 10 gm
Salt to taste
Green Chillies : 4 pcs
Red Chilli Powder : 5 gm/ 1 tsp
Coriander Powder : 5 gm/ 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Garam Masala : 10gm/ 2 tsp
Coriander : 20 gm


Step:1 Cut the paneer into medium cubes.

Step:2 Clean and Wash all the vegetables, Peel and chop onions. Scrape and chop ginger. Remove stems, slit, deseed and chop green chillies. Chop coriander.


method:1 Heat ghee on a large tawa, add ajwain and saute over medium heat until it begins to crackle.

method:2 Add onions, ginger and green chillies, saute for 2 minutes. Then add red chillies and coriander powder, stir for a minute.

method:3 Sometime after, add paneer and stir for a minute. Now add makhani gravy and roast until the gravy becomes thick and coats the paneer. Adjust the seasoning.

method:4 Sprinkle garam masala and coriander, stir approximately 2-4 minutes.

finale: Sometime later remove panner masala in large bowls.

To Serve Paneer Tawa Masala

Paneer masala remove to a dish from bowls and serve with an bread.
