Paneer tikka masala

Paneer tikka is vegetarian food. It is a vegetarian main course meal. Paneer tikka is a creamy , flavorful & delicious dish made by grilling paneer, in a masala gravy.

Serves: 4
Preparation time: 1:30 hours
Cooking time: 15 minutes


Paneer : 800gm
Yogurt(curd) : 120ml/ ½ cup
Cream : 60ml
Gamflour : 30gm/ 3 Tbs
Garam masala powder : 10gm/ 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Ajwain : 5gm/ 2 tsp
Black cumin seeds : 5gm/2 tsp
White pepper powder : 3gm/ ½ tsp
Fenugreek(Kasoori Methi) : 3gm/ 1 tsp
Turmeric powder : 3gm/ ½ tsp


Step:1 Cut the paneer into equal medium size, for tikka.

Step:2 In the paneer,Evenly sprinkle ajwain seed, white pepper powder, black cumin seeds, 1½ tsp of garam masala, turmeric powder and salt then keep aside.

Step:3 Whisk the greek yogurt till smooth in a large bowl, then add cream, fenugreek, gramflour and the remaining ingredients, then mix well, some time after leave the paneer in this batter and keep aside for 45 minutes.

Step:4 In the oven, Pre-heat to 270° F.

Step:5 Skewer the tikka, then skewer a raw onion to prevent the paneer from sliding down. Keep a tray underneath to collect the drippings.


Method:1 Roast the paneer in hot tandoor for 10-12 minutes.

Method:2 Again roast in a charcoal grill for approximately 10-12 minutes.

Method:3 Again roast in a pre-heated oven for approximately 12-15 minutes.

Method:4 Tikka remove from oven and then sprinkle Kasoori Methi and the remaining garam masala.

finale:  Ready your Paneer tikka and serve with accompaniments.
